Walter Schmuck

Born and raised in Karlsruhe, West Germany. Studied acting at the University of Music and Drama in Hanover, then worked at the theatres in Bremerhaven and Bremen, near the German coast. In 2016 I moved from the north to the south-west of the country to work as a freelancer.

At the beginning of 2018 I decided to take on the long-yearned-for project “Don Quixote”.

This was my first feature-length film, and I made it the way Don Quixote would have – almost entirely on my own, with the help of one dear friend who did the sound design and a handful of músicos. It went to five film festivals, and all of that during a pandemic.
