From my first conscious thought about my father, he has been Don Quixote to me: a knight who wants to defeat the giants but ends up fighting windmills.

Thirty years ago he worked as an aid worker in Cusco. When his best friend came to visit him there, the friend was shot under circumstances that were never explained.

Since that event, my father's world has been out of joint.

And now

Thirty years later I was the same age as my father had been back then, and about to become a father myself.

For this documentary I became Don Quixote: a young man who seeks the adventure he had heard so many stories about. So I set out on the journey to Peru, riding my Rocinante through the Andes, following my father's traces.
